The Child Development Council prioritizes connecting families with local services to ensure they can consistently meet their basic needs and make progress towards their goals. They have partnered with several local service providers. Their community partners include Babies First for child safety equipment, local food pantries, and the Food Donation Network to address food insecurity, Ithaca Neighborhood Housing and Tompkins Community Action for participant housing needs, LAWNY for legal support, and Planned Parenthood for family planning needs. We partner with Ithaca ReUse Centers to provide vouchers for families to meet basic needs for clothing and household goods. We also work with local childcare providers to help families secure reliable, quality care for their children by assisting families with enrollment fees and past due bills, and local health care providers by assisting with late fees and past due bills to ensure regular access to preventive care.
